Accomplishments

This entry is about things that I have come relatively late to in life.

1. Underwear. Perhaps it had to do with the undeveloped self-regard of my teens and early adulthood, but I was in open opposition to panties until about two years ago. I thought panties was a scam; the spending of precious money, the washing, the folding... it seemed all lousy form and no function. But then I discovered Calvin Klein @ the Nordstrom Rack. It turns out that beauty and thrift was all it took to turn me into a panty fanatic. These pants are neither flimsy nor burly, as common store underwear often are. The kind I'm wearing right now have a gorgeous pattern in cream, yellow, and light blue, and there are ribbons on the sides. I'm proud of my collection (too proud). Now I love to wear draws.
2. Coffee. This substance nearly killed me until two summers ago, when a friend accidentally served me iced coffee instead of iced tea at her new job, and I drank it to be nice. I liked it. It's my proudest adult taste.
3. Driving. I learned how to drive when I was 21.

Tune in next time I remember things I've grown sophisticated enough to appreciate.
